The Story of Impact Dance Studio
Founded in 1987, Impact Dance Studio has grown from a handful of after-school classes into one of the Chicago area’s leading dance institutions. With two thriving locations and over 200 classes offered each week, Impact provides a welcoming, high-energy environment where dancers of all ages can grow in skill, confidence, and creativity.
Originally founded by Sue Wagoner, the studio’s legacy of excellence continues under the leadership of Diane Fotino, a former Impact student who took ownership in 2000. Diane brought a fresh vision rooted in both artistry and community, shaping Impact into a studio known for its professionalism, positivity, and passion for dance.
Today, Impact’s competition teams are nationally recognized champions, and countless alumni have gone on to dance professionally, perform on stages across the country, and even return home to teach the next generation. Through it all, Impact remains dedicated to nurturing every dancer’s potential. We offer top-notch training, strong values, and a true sense of family.
