Acro (Ages 6 & Up)

Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline & concentration. This class will focus on fundamental acrobatic technique. Students will learn such things as handstands, chin stands, elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, balance, & contortion tricks. Acro is not the typical tumbling or gymnastics class. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility, & strength.

Dancers must be entering 1st grade in the fall of 2026.

Online Registration Dates for Fall 2026-2027 classes:

  • Wednesday, July 22 at 10:00 am for Returning families
  • Wednesday, July 22 at 2:00 pm for New families
  • Monday, July 20 at 10:00 am -10:00 pm for all families: (Early access Back-to-Back classes only)
Returning Families- Simply log into your parent portal to view classes and enroll. Back-to-Back class registration only on Monday, July 20 at 10:00 am.
New Families- Complete the online registration form by clicking the “Register” link next to your desired class.
Acro level placement is determined by level rather than age. Please find the guidelines below to properly choose your child’s appropriate Acro level.
LEVEL 1 No experience necessary for beginner level. This class will be an introduction level teaching the fundamentals of technique, strength, and flexibility.
LEVEL 2 To qualify for Level 2, dancers should have at least 1 year of Acro or gymnastics experience and be able to do a front/back walkover, one hand cartwheels & round offs, and splits (R, L, C).Intermediate level will teach aerials and series tricks.
LEVEL 3 To qualify for Level 3, dancers must have at least 1-2 years of Acro or gymnastics experience, be able to do a front/back walkover, back handsprings, and an aerial. Advanced level will teach aerial walkovers, flips, and continue working on series tricks.
LEVEL 4  To qualify for Level 4, dancers must have at least 2 years of Acro or gymnastics experience, be able to do a side aerial and back handspring.
