This is the moment dancers step into the spotlight. Where confidence, discipline, and growth are celebrated and families see months of hard work come to life!We can’t wait to celebrate an amazing season with you! Here’s everything you need to know to be fully prepared for recital week.

📅 Recital Week At-A-Glance
- Friday, June 5: Last day of in-studio classes
- Saturday, June 6: Dress Rehearsal (1st Grade & Up)
- At Downers Grove South HS

Sunday, June 7: RECITAL DAY
No recreational classes June 6–7
- Studio offices CLOSED
- Tights & bun kits available at rehearsal + recital
Show Details
- Each show is approximately 45 minutes
- Check your dancer’s class schedule for exact show placement
📸 Picture Day Details
Parents: Please understand if you are late or absent they will miss their photo opportunity.
- Date: Saturday, May 16- Friday, May 22
- Location: Impact Dance Studio
- Time: During your dancer’s regular class time.
- Please be on time! Late arrivals may miss photos
What to Do
- Arrive in FULL costume
- Hair in a LOW bun
- Makeup optional
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
- Complete online photo registration (REQUIRED)
- Must be done before arriving
What Happens on Picture Day?
- Group class photo
- Individual photo
- No payment or forms needed that day
- All dancers participate in class photos (displayed in studio)
After Picture Day
- Proofs emailed within ~3 weeks (from JD Event Photography)
- Order online
- Photos shipped directly to your home (4–6 weeks after recital)

All tickets must be purchased online at the link below.
- On Sale: Thursday, May 7 at 10:00 AM.
- Online sales end: Sunday, May 31 at midnight
- After that, tickets will be available at the door (general admission)

🩰 Tight & Shoe Requirements
- Costumes distributed end of April during class
- Accounts must be paid in full to receive costumes
Each class requires specific:
- Tights
- Shoes
- Accessories

🎀 Hair & Makeup Requirements
Hair (ALL dancers)
- Low bun at the nape of the neck
- Use: gel, hairspray, bobby pins, hairnet
- Bows or hair accessories included with costume go on the right side
- Short hair: half up / half down
Keep it neat, clean, and secure!
Bun Kits Available!
Kit Includes:
- Hair donut
- Hairnet
- Elastics
- Hair pins
Available for purchase at the front desk (while supplies last)
Makeup (Recommended)
Stage lights are bright — makeup helps dancers shine!
- Eyes: neutral/champagne shadow + mascara
- Cheeks: pink blush
- Lips: red
- Older dancers: heavier stage makeup encouraged
Please remember that without makeup, faces become washed out from afar and difficult to see, especially on video.

Who Attends?
- 1st Grade & Up classes ONLY
What to Wear:
Full costume
Hair + makeup done
Dancers may leave after their scheduled rehearsal time
Younger Classes: (Twinkle Tots, Pre-Dance, Kinder Combo, Hippity Hop, Jazz It Up! and Jazzy Tumble)
- No on-stage rehearsal
- In-studio rehearsal during picture week instead
🎶 Show Orders
If your dancer is in multiple dances:
- Arrive in FIRST costume
- Bring all additional costumes, shoes, tights, and accessories on a hanger with their name clearly labeled on ALL items.
